The S7-200 series PLC can provide 8 types of CPUs with 4 different basic models for your use.
◆ CPU unit design
Integrated 24V load power supply: can be directly connected to sensors and transmitters (actuators), CPU 221, 222 has an output of 180mA, while CPU 224 and CPU 226 output 280400mA respectively. It can be used as a load power supply.
◆ Different types of equipment
CPUs 221~226 each have two types of CPUs with different power supply voltages and control voltages.
◆ Local digital input/output points
CPU 221 has 6 input points and 4 output points, CPU 222 has 8 input points and 6 output points, and CPU 224 has 14 input points and 10 output points. CPU 226 has 24 input points and 16 output points.
◆ Interrupt input
Allow for rapid response to the rising edge of process signals.
◆ High speed counter
CPU 221/222
4 high-speed counters (30KHz), programmable and with reset input, 2 independent input terminals can perform addition and subtraction counting simultaneously, and can be connected to two A/B phase incremental encoders with a phase difference of 90 °.
CPU224/226
6 high-speed counters (30KHz) with the same functions as CPU221/222.

It can be easily expanded using digital and analog expansion modules. An emulator (optional) can be used to simulate the local input signal for debugging user programs.

◆ Pulse output
2-channel high-frequency pulse output (maximum 20KHz), used to control stepper motors or servo motors to achieve positioning tasks.
Real time clock
For example, adding time stamps to information, recording machine running time, or controlling process time.
EEPROM memory module (optional)
Can serve as a quick tool for modifying and copying programs (without the need for a programmer), and can assist with software archiving work.
◆ Battery module
Used for long-term data backup. User data (such as flag status, data blocks, timers, counters) can be stored for approximately 5 days through internal supercapacitors. Choosing battery modules can extend storage time to 200 days (10 years of lifespan). The battery module is inserted into the card slot of the memory module.

The cable is in transmission mode. When data is transmitted from RS-485 to RS-232 port PC/PPI
The cable is in receiving mode. When characters are detected on the RS-232 transmission line, the cable immediately switches from receive mode to transmit mode. When the RS-232 transmission line is idle for more than the cable switching time, the cable switches back to receiving mode. This time is related to the baud rate selection set by the DIP switch on the cable.

This machine integrates 10 digital I/O points with 6 inputs/4 outputs. No I/O expansion capability. 6K bytes of program and data storage space. 4 independent 30kHz high-speed counters, 2 independent 20kHz high-speed pulse outputs. 1 RS485 communication/programming port with PPI communication protocol, MPI communication protocol, and free mode communication capability. Very suitable for microcontrollers with small point control.
CPU 222
This machine integrates 10 digital I/O points with 6 inputs/4 outputs. No I/O expansion capability. 6K bytes of program and data storage space. 4 independent 30kHz high-speed counters, 2 independent 20kHz high-speed pulse outputs. 1 RS485 communication/programming port with PPI communication protocol, MPI communication protocol, and free mode communication capability. Very suitable for microcontrollers with small point control.
